Drug Store Beauty Favourites.

A lot of you really enjoyed my February Favourites post and so I decided to do something a little bit similar for you except drug store based. Despite my urge to upgrade a lot of my products to more higher end, mainly because I find it better value for money in the long run, I know a lot of people would rather spend their money on other things and so would benefit from knowing which products are best from somewhere like Boots and/or Superdrug where cosmetics are a lot cheaper.

I'm going to show you a few of my favourite products and let you know how I use them and why I would recommend them.

Starting with the love of my life: Maybelline. I LOVE Maybelline products and this foundation is the best thing I have ever discovered in my life. I didn't get on well with the Dream Matte Mousse when I tried it; I found it really dried out my skin and didn't give me very good coverage. I tried this and it's the perfect blend between a mousse and a liquid foundation. It sits so lightly on the skin and I just love it. I was gutted when I found that my local chemist don't stock it so I have to wait until I can get to a boots. If you haven't yet fallen in love with a foundation I really recommend you try this!

Also from Maybelline: My favourite bronzer. This is the perfect three shade mix. I mentioned using this when I did my February Love Me Beauty makeup looks and it honestly works perfectly with any kind of makeup look you're going for whether it be a softer look or more dramatic. I actually have been using the bronzer that came in my Urban Decay On The Run pallet and I still prefer this. The three shade tones make it blend perfectly and look so natural. In the summer it looks stunning on your skin. if you're paler like me and struggle to blend your bronzer I would really recommend this product.

Lastly from Maybelline, I'm not going to talk too much about this because it was in my favourties post the other week but this is the best eye shadow I have ever used. It blends perfectly, it lasts long and is such good value for money. The shades are gorgeous so pick yourself up a couple!

This next product I kind of found and tried by accident. I've never really taken much notice of the Seventeen counter and I'm not too sure why. I was looking for an amazing concealer and happened upon this one.
I have a unfortunate arrangement of freckles surrounding my right eye and without make up they make me look like I have a black eye. I got sick of explaining this to people when they came up to me concerned at school asking who had beat me up... so when I tried this product I instantly fell in love. It covers any kind of problem you may have like the odd out of place army of freckles as well as under eye bags. I got in the habit of using this all over my face not just under my eyes so any blemishes you dislike will be history if you try this out!  I think I pay about £3-4 pounds for this and I apply it with my real techniques detail brush. Such an amazing product, there really is no reason for you not to try it out!

When I was just starting to get into makeup I was using a lot of Collection 100 because it's so affordable and easy to use. If you want to get into blending eye shadow - this pallet is perfect. It has 3 different combinations depending on how smokey you want to go and a highlighter. It has diagrams on the back showing you how to blend it and it's taught me everything I need to know. I usually use this pallet to blend out my 24 hour tattoo shades when I wear them. It works well with any products though. Really small to fit into a handbag and just a really good starter product if you want to experiment with eye shadow without spending too much money.

I was very skeptical to try this product as I didn't really understand what it would do and how it would benefit me. After trying it, I'm still not sure how/what it does but I would never go back to not using it. If I forget to put it on, my eyes just look so tired and dull. Whatever is in this product makes your eyes look so much brighter and healthier. I really struggle with having bags under my eyes so this product is a god send! All you do it roll it under your eyes and then wipe away the residue and then apply your foundation/concealer over it. It's amazing.

My final drug store favourite is the Real Techniques brush kit. I have always absolutely hated using my fingers to apply makeup but couldn't afford to buy a whole kit of expensive brushes so when I saw that I could pay about £20 for these four I went for it. You have a blush/bronzer brush, a foundation brush, a detail brush and a powder brush. I use all of them daily and they're so easy to use and to clean. They come in this handy sleeve to prevent the hairs getting damaged. If you want some decent brushes please try these ones out. They look so professional and are really good!

So those are my drugstore favourites. Keep posted during the next few weeks as I have my reviews of the Urban Decay On The Run and Too Faced Chocolate pallets coming up along with the makeup looks I created using them.  I will also be ordering my next Love Me Beauty box soon so you can expect the usual posts I do to do with that also within the next month. I'm trying out a few new products at the moment so expect a fair few reviews and
recommendations.

Happy Sunday! Love Chloe x.

I'm A Little Bit Too Faced | Cosmetics Haul.

Another beauty post for you. I'm going to show you some new products I brought that I've been dying to try out for ages. Perhaps this weekend, if not in the next couple of weeks, I'll review each one and show you the make up looks I created using them!

I firstly went onto the Selfridges website because I know they're the best for stocking my favourite makeup brands. I also find their prices are slightly cheaper than if you purchased from the Urban Decay or Nars websites directly so it seemed like a no brainer.

As I have previously mentioned, I've been looking for a while for a lipstick to replace my beloved Rimmel London Kate Moss 107 because I need something that will dry out my lips less. I have also been desperate for a Nars lipstick for quite some time. Seeing as I wanted to add some higher end products to my make up collection, it made sense to me to try and see if I could find a similar Nars shade. I did rely on the online image on the Selfridges website for this one because I don't have a store local enough to me to buy in store. This shade caught my eye and it's the Mascate 3511 from their Pure Matt Lipstick collection. I'll admit I took a risk with buying this online because you never really know what the shade is going to be until it arrives. Having said that, the shade looks very similar to the Rimmel 107. I know I'm not going to find a shade that is an exact copy but I think this is probably as close as I'm going to get for now. None the less, if it doesn't fill the void for me, it's a stunning colour so I've not lost anything. I'll show you what the actual product looks like in my upcoming review post. I paid £20 for this which is slightly cheaper than the regular Nars lipsticks. I'm not sure what the difference is between the ones packaged like this and the ones that have a more typical lipstick packaging except that perhaps they are smaller.
Let me know what your favourite Nars lipstick shades are in the comments so I can try out a few more!

Also from selfridges, I got the limited edition: Urban Decay Naked On The Run pallet that I have had my eye on for weeks. I paid £35 for this and it is such good value for money! For £35 you get the 'Perversion' mascara, 24/7 glide on eye liner pencil, the Naked Lipgloss, 5 eye shadows, a blush, bronzer and a highlighter. It's perfect for on the go as well because it has a really big mirror and is small enough to fit in your handbag. I absolutely love the packaging! The pattern is stunning. I'm so glad I finally ordered this. I can tell I'm going to over use it a lot! Again, I'll show you more of what it looks like inside when I do my make up reviews and looks.

Finally, Selfridges didn't stock this so I had to order it from Debenhams. I paid about £27. This is another product I have lusted over for months and months. I contemplated doing the same as I did with the Naked Pallets and buying the smaller size to try it out but I just fell in love with too many of the colours from the larger pallet so decided I should either go big or go home. When this arrived, my mother looked at me judgmentally and asked me whether I had 'seriously brought chocolate online.' No mummy dear, of course not! Not only does this look like it should be a massive chocolate bar, but I kid you not, it smells exactly like one. It's incredible. It shows how much I have grown into a young woman as I used to get excited about the calculators that were chocolate bars, now I get excited about eye shadow pallets. The colours in this pallet are stunning! The pallet even comes with a little book that has diagrams of how to achieve different eye shadow styles so I will try out some for you and maybe do a tutorial post so that you can see. This was so worth the money. Keep posted for my review!

This was a very quick post I know but there is more to come! Make sure to follow me on google+ and you'll be able to see when I post a new blog post and therefore see when I've done my reviews. Have a lovely evening!
Love Chloe, x.

February Favourites | Beauty Takeover!

Why hello there my beautiful chestnuts!
This month I have been obsessed with beauty more than anything else. I got my first Love Me Beauty box and splashed out on a few higher end products which did some damage! I'm having to save most of my money from now on for driving lessons and summer clothing as well as clothing and supplies for sixth form which is going to cost me a lot come the summer! So I made the most this month of buying some of the products of my beauty bucket list whilst I still could! Most of those products will be 'hauled' and reviewed in the next few weeks so I'll keep you posted.
Seeing as this month has been very much beauty orientated, so is this months favourites posts. Just FYI, lots of you have been saying that I spell favourites wrong, I don't, it's spelled differently in the UK!

Firstly the cosmetics favourites:

One thing I have been loving this month is a the Bed Head shampoo and conditioner by TIGI for damaged hair. This products ticks all my boxes and I would gladly recommend it to anybody! Lets firstly comment on the scent. I kid you not, this product smells incredible. It actually smells like lemonade. It took me a while to put my finger on what the product smells like, suddenly I realized that it smells just like lemonade or sprite. Who doesn't want hair that smells like lemonade?
Not only does it smell incredible but it was such good value! I paid £18.50 for the shampoo and conditioner and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bottles. They are huge. The kind of bottle size that you would expect to see used in a salon. I know I wont be having to buy more of this for absolutely ages; moreover, it's even more efficient when you realise how little you have to use! I need significantly less of this product than I do any other shampoo or conditioner I've tried using. This clearly makes it even better quality for money so please do not feel put off by the price!
As for helping with my hair damage left over from my highlighting nightmare, (see previous posts) this has helped immensely to stop my hair feeling as dry. There is much more life in my hair and it feels so much softer than it was previously. Furthermore, the damage is hardly visible. However, I do find if I use the product alone without using Morrocan Oil on my hair also, the damage is much more visible but obviously, there is no such thing as miracles! If you suffer from damaged hair, this product along with Morrocan Oil is the perfect, dream combination. Thus why I photographed the two products together.
If damaged hair isn't an issue for you, there are many other versions of the Bed Head shampoo that you could try. There is a shampoo for regular hair and for coloured hair. I found the product from my favourite beauty vlogger/blogger Zoe Sugg (Zoella) and she uses the Bed Head for coloured hair which she says smells like toffee! It sounds amazing so myself and Zoe would recommend you try out one of these products!

The next product I've been loving is an old favourite of mine. I've been obsessed with this for over a year now and seeing as this is my first favourites post I figured I had to include it. It will look quite boring but please keep reading because this is a magical product. It is by Chapstick and it's the medicated balm in a blue packaging. I find most chapsticks are more cosmetic based than lip health and my mum got this for me a year ago and I instantly fell in love with it. I am not exaggerating here at all but it can cure chapped lips in a couple of days. In the summer especially this was a must have product for me. This is slightly gross and I'm not proud of it, but a symptom of having an anxiety disorder is that you  chew the skin on your lips sometimes which can leave your lips dry, sore and looking unhealthy. This product has really helped me undo some of that damage. I have never been one to finish a chapstick. The one I photographed for this post is my third. I hope that speaks for how amazing it is. Please, please try this if you feel like you need a good chapstick! It doesn't look fancy but it is amazing and I picked this up for about £1.50.
It's quite tingly when you first put it on which I quite like because it shows that it is actually doing something! I put this on first thing in the morning after brushing my teeth and last thing before I go to bed as well as during the day if I feel I need it. It's one of those products that I fear my local supermarket will stop selling because I know I will need this everyday for the rest of my life!

This next product is an old favourite of mine that I have rediscovered my love for. It is the Maybelline 24 hour colour tattoo. I love Maybelline products. Their foundations are amazing, my favourite bronzer is by Maybelline but this is by far my favourite from that brand. It so long wearing and so easy to apply. The colours are stunning and I can't believe I only own one. I'm nearly running out so I feel myself going on a trip to boots and coming back with a fair few of these soon!
It works perfectly with my other eye shadows and is so easy to blend. You don't even have to blend it with other shadows if you don't want to. I've gotten into a habit of applying it, blending it out on its own and then just leaving it because it looks so stunning. It is also such a good base for applying liquid eyeliner which I like to do after my eye shadow.
It is a slightly strange consistency the first time you use it because it's fairly waxy rather than a powder. I use a BarryM brush to apply it but you can just slide it on with your finger tip. It sits so nicely on the skin and stays there all day. Despite being a 24 hour product, it is so easy to remove! It's such a comfortable product to wear so please give it a go if you haven't yet got an eye shadow you love! There are some stunning shades, I've got my heart set on a rose gold shade I've seen another YouTube vlogger wear!

Now onto my favourite Instagram accounts this month:

I am obsessed with instagram and follow all kinds of accounts. I actually have 2 favourite Instagram account this month so here we go:

The first account I was obsessed with throughout February is @whichbeautyboxuk and I discovered it after getting my first Love Me Beauty box and following the LoveMeBeauty hashtag. This account is full of stunning pictures of beauty box products and recommendations of beauty boxes to try which has opened my eyes a lot. I will definitely be trying a couple of other boxes as well as the Love Me Beauty boxes. This girl's blog is incredible too. She does amazing reviews of each box and I am in awe of her blogging talent. Give her a follow on Instagram and follow her blog because she is amazing!

As you can see she reviews all kinds of products and tries several different beauty boxes so if you are interested in beauty it's a good blog and account to look at to get inspiration for new products to try!

The next instagram account I've been loving is one dedicated to the love of my life: Henna.
I've become so obsessed with doing henna that I now follow several Henna accounts but this is by far my favourite. The account is @HennaFeatures. The designs are so beautiful and I find them so inspirational in terms of getting design ideas. If you enjoy doing henna or looking at henna this is a great account for you to follow because it's traditional as well as unique and the designs are so stunning.

As you can see from the screen shot, there are designs for the legs, hands and wrists as well as feet etc. You can really find inspiration here for any kind of design you want to do!
 It's a really stunning account.

Finally: My music favourite this month has been Orla Gartlands Lonely People EP. I went to see Orla in Birmingham last week and I'm going to write a single blog post about it soon.
You can buy the EP on Itunes as well as her original EP Roots. She has such a unique voice and songwriting ability so please check it out. The EP's cost a couple of pounds each so there's no reason why you can't support this girl. She's so talented and so lovely!

And so that is my February Favourites post! Coming up in March are a few posts I'm already planning as well as a few surprises that might erupt from my brain at any point. I've already been looking at this months Love Me Beauty collection and it looks amazing so I will definitely be ordering another box this month so you can be expecting a haul post and a reviews/makeup looks post in the next couple of weeks. I am also going to write a diary post about when I went to see Orla as well as maybe writing a quick post on some revision tips for my fellow students revising for exams!
Have a good day, love Chloe x.

Does Talent Matter?

My blog has been very centered around beauty the last few weeks and so I wanted to write about something that has been bothering me a lot for a very long time. Some of you may be aware that I am an aspiring musician and that I post regular YouTube videos of covers and original material etc.

I spend about 2+ hours every night working on new material which I make sure I fit in around my school work and family life because it's important to me. I can do a lot more at the weekends and, despite being in a dry spell right now in terms of gigging, I usually play at least 1 gig a month if not a lot more. I've been on half term this week so I've dedicated a lot of my time to learning a new cover which I posted on Friday. I am constantly writing lyrics and looking out for new songs to cover. It is always on my mind what I am going to do next and how I can improve. I play acoustic guitar and I'm learning keyboard and baritone ukulele. I try to pay close attention to other musicians around me that I know and whose music I enjoy because you can learn from those people and pick up new skills which is vital. I think that I work extremely hard on everything I do and I'm always thankful for all the support I get which is usually about 100-200 views per video. Don't get me wrong, I am amazed that my covers get viewed that much. It is only disappointing me because of how much effort I have to put in to push these videos to get more than 10 views when other 'musicians' who put in minimal effort can effortlessly get 1000's of views in minutes.

Allow me to elaborate before you assume I am ungrateful and jealous - which may just be true. The kind of musical videos that get hundreds of thousands of views are always the ones with the fancy video editing. You can spend ridiculous amounts of money on software that allows you to edit out the parts of a track you recorded that don't sound right and redo them without having to redo the whole song. You can also have multiple camera angles to show off your fancy setting that you chose to film in. You can even auto tune the cover so that it sounds perfect and there's no fault in your voice. I hate to be so general here but when I watch these videos I never ever connect with the music as much. I'm not saying that I am better than the people who choose to film like this because I really don't think that I am. But I know musicians that have flawless talent but get no recognition because they can't afford this fancy software. Since when did musical popularity become about how it looks? Or the quality of the video? Surely what really matters here is the TALENT?

Personally, I don't think anybody can call themselves a musician if they don't MAKE music. Moreover, learn to play an instrument, play a few gigs, get to know an audience and how to please that audience. Develop your own voice and learn what you can do with that voice. People don't want to hear a karaoke singer when they go down to an acoustic night - they want to hear some real music.

I could get friends to film some fancy videos for me every time I want to post a cover but I chose not to. I prefer live covers. I want to focus on their voice and the song. You hear famous singers live and they almost never sound perfect because nobody is! Everyone misses notes and sings a lyric wrong so why should we hide that? Music doesn't have to be perfect only true to what it is.

I honestly think the popularity of an upcoming musical artist is more to do with how popular they are in terms of friendships and how much money they have. If you can afford all the fancy equipment aside from just your voice and your guitar then automatically you're more likely to make a 'good' video and then more people with inevitably watch it. Also, if you have hundreds of facebook friends that are genuinely really interested in your career then they'll watch your video no matter what song you're singing, regardless of whether it's what they like to listen too.

I mean, maybe it's me and I'm just not meant to be a recording artist and that's okay. I'm not going off on one because I feel like I deserve more views. I was just using myself as an example because I know first hand how hard I try at this. The point I'm trying to get across is that music is becoming more about what it looks like than how it sounds and it's wrong!
I know an incredible artist who has an amazing voice and outstanding talent when it comes to songwriting and rightly so he is doing extremely well for himself and will be releasing albums into the charts in no time. He didn't make fancy YouTube videos. He performed at a massive festival, just him and his guitar and people fell in love with his TALENT and that's how it should happen. I feel like if we carry on the way this is going we will lose that. And we'll end up with thousands of karaoke singers in the charts and no feeling in the music.

I just wish that an amazingly talented musician could post a low quality, phone filmed cover onto their YouTube channel and get the same support as those who use fancy video editing because the music is just as good and that artist deserves just as much support.

I am aware I probably sound very much like I'm just complaining about people being better than me, I'm not. I'm complaining that talent doesn't matter anymore and it makes me sad.

February Love Me Beauty Box | Reviews & Make Up Looks.

Welcome to the weekend! I've been on half term from school this week and have given myself a break from studying; therefore, I have given myself a lot of time to experiment and test this months Love Me Beauty products.

I'll review each product and then show you the makeup looks I created with the 2 makeup items. I will also give you reference to the other products I used that I think worked well with the items I chose.

Reviews

Malin & Goetz Grapefruit Facial Cleanser:

I am quite literally in love with this product! Starting with the fragrance; this product smells incredible! I've tried quite a few facial cleansers and never really been amazed by what they do, after all, they simply clean your skin. The authentic grapefruit scent is so accurate and I think this is what I like most about the product. It doesn't smell artificial at all. Furthermore, my skin feels so much cleaner and fresher since I have been using this. I have noticed myself getting a fair few spots since using it, however, I am confident that this is a good thing because it means the product is drawing all the oils and bacteria out of my skin which is what some, if not most, spots consist of. My skin feels much softer also. I've been using this morning and evening to ensure that I put makeup onto a clean face and also that I don't go to sleep with any makeup still on. The product is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be buying a full sized bottle when I run out of this sample sized one. Please do try this out, you won't regret it!

Malin & Goetz B5 Moisturizer:

Another magnificent product that is a must have. I've always thought that a moisturizer is a moisturizer and I've really struggled to see how any one brand could do it better than others. They do what they say on the bottle. This product has revolutionized my view on moisturizers. I've been using this product mainly on my body but also on my face in the evenings. I noticed how great this product was, however, after using on my legs post shaving. I shave because I'm kind of afraid to try waxing even though it's better for your skin, having said that, it does make the skin on my legs really
dry. When using the B5 moisturizer I really found less is more. You really don't need a lot of this because somehow the incredible people that created it made it really efficient. By this I mean that a tiny, 5p sized amount spread over my hole lower leg so effortlessly AND made a huge impact on how soft my legs felt. I don't think I will ever be this amazed by a moisturizer again. The results were so beneficial and I would honestly urge you all to use this product! If dry skin is something you suffer with, this product is the miracle you need! Again, I will definitely be buying a full sized bottle of this!

Mirabella Pink Lip Gloss:

As I mentioned In my introduction to Love Me Beauty, I've always been nervous to wear lip gloss. This one was no exception, especially when it arrived to be a very light colour. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I applied the product. It tastes very slightly of peppermint. I don't usually like the taste of mint but in a lip gloss its quite nice because it feels fresh on your lips. It doesn't at all feel slimy which I sometimes find and dislike. The colour also really compliments my skin and it isn't sticky like most glosses. However, I didn't wear it outside which would have answered my worry that my hair would get stuck in it. Consequently, come summer I will be testing this product out a lot to see how comfortable it is to wear outside. So far, I'm very impressed by this and it has changed my view on lip glosses. Let me know of your favourite glosses in the comments so that I can try out some more!
I also love the packaging this gloss is in. The tube has a silver cap that it smooth and then an almost paneled metal section to the tube which looks really good! It's a nice looking product to whip out of your hand bag and apply.

Mirabella Red Lipstick:

As mentioned in previous posts (and song lyrics) I absolutely love red lipstick. I think it looks really sophisticated to wear and, if worn well, can really bring out someones skin tone and eyes. This lipstick didn't disappoint. As I stated in my previous Love Me Beauty post, I am looking for a product to replace my love for the Rimmel London, Kate Moss 107 shade because it dries my lips out too much. This lipstick is a completely different kind of red than what it showed on the website which is quite disappointing so it hasn't ended my search; however, the product itself didn't at all disappoint. It was much softer to wear that the Kate Moss lipsticks and much less waxy. Also the shade wasn't as pretty as the rimmel one; none the less, it looks so good when contrasted with my skin tone which is why I like wearing reds. Also it was so easy to apply and didn't smudge onto my skin at all. However, this is the minimal you would expect from a lipstick and so it hasn't done anything remarkable, only succeeded where other brands have failed. I will definitely be wearing this lipstick A LOT in the future.

Make Up Looks

Mirabella Pink Lip Gloss:

I thought a pink lip gloss would look nice on warmer skin. So I did my foundation using the Rimmel London Match Perfection. I then used my bronzer on my cheeks which is the Maybelline Dream Sun bronzer. This added warmth to my skin. On my eyes I used my Naked Basics Pallet that I reviewed a few posts ago. I again used warmer, gold shades and I used a glittery gold Maybelline colour tattoo on my lid. I use the Naked Pallet to blend out. I then curled my eyelashes and applied my Mac Mascara. Finally I added the lip gloss. As you can see, it sits quite comfortably with warmer looking skin and basic eye makeup. It gives a really simple look that would be very cute for school or work. It took very little effort or time.

Mirabella Red Lipstick:

My makeup look for this product was similar to the one before. However, this time I added a light brush of blusher to my cheeks - I used the Nars Orgasm blusher shade. I also used a slightly darker shade on my Naked Pallet when blending which I worked into my crease to create a more dramatic look. I think when wearing red lipstick you have to go big or go home. Having dramatic eye makeup really compliments the look that red lipstick inevitably gives. As a result, I also used a winged eyeliner for this look. I use the Soap & Glory Super Cat pen to do this. This makes the look complete. I then applied the lipstick in 2 layers. I did the first layer and then used tissue to blot it and avoid the colour fading. I then applied another layer which seals the colour.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have found it useful. I have been contemplating doing an everyday eye makeup tutorial as a lot of people have been asking me how I do my eye makeup. Let me know in the comments if that's something you'd like to see. I may order another Love Me Beauty box next month, if not I definitely will in April so you can expect another Haul & Review in the next month or so! Have a lovely weekend.
You can expect in the next few days I review of a brilliant shampoo I've been using and a fantastic lip balm I love. Either that or I'll do a February favourites post! As well as any thoughts I may have.

Take care, love Chloe x.

Love Me Beauty | Introduction.

Want to get £40 worth of beauty products for just £10?

I came across Love Me Beauty back in November from a YouTube vlogger I watch, Hannah Maggs/Michalak.
The process is that you create an account. You then fill in a quick questionnaire about what beauty products you like, what skin tone you have etc. And then you are appointed a beauty consultant. You get 6 credits to spend each month. You can either select the products you want yourself or you can get your consultant to fill your box for you. The products are then delivered to you.

You can sign up for as long as you wish, whether you only want to try a one month subscription or 12 months. It's better value to sign up for 12 months but if you're signing up for multiple months all payment for all months must be payed upfront which is why I only subscribe for one month at a time because I cannot afford to pay nearly £60 upfront for a 6 month subscription. You can subscribe for one month, three months, 6 months or 12 months at a time.
The good thing with only subscribing for one month at a time is that I don't HAVE to get a box every month and so I can wait until there are products on the site that I really want.

I ordered my first box the other day and had previously been checking the website regularly. I will admit I was put off at first because there didn't seem to be a wide range of products on there. I thought that I would probably exhaust the products pretty quickly. However, from checking the website regularly I have noticed that the products they offer are often swapped for new ones after a month or so which means there are constantly new products for you to try.

Here are some of the products I chose this month.

I absolutely LOVE wearing red lipstick. However, my favourite red lipstick, the Rimmel London, Kate Moss 107, I find really dries my lips out if I wear it for more than an hour or so which is really not what you want from a lipstick. So I've been looking for a similar shade that will be more moisturizing. When this Mirabella red lipstick arrived in my box I was disappointed at first because it's actually a much brighter colour than it looks on the website. However, it is still a stunning colour and looks really moisturizing so I can't wait to try it out.

Secondly, I've always been kind of afraid of wearing lip gloss because in British weather where it's always really windy I find my hair just gets stuck in it. However, now that I have shorter hair I've been on the search for a lip gloss that isn't going to be too sticky because wearing lipstick all the time is drying out my lips. Again, when this arrived it looks much brighter in colour than the image on the website so I think in future when I select my products I'll be a bit more cynical with the colour choices but it still looks really pretty and will be nice to wear in the summer when my dark red lips that I love go out of style.

My fourth product was perfect for me! Wearing a lot of makeup can really make the skin on your face dry. I also find the skin on my legs can get really dry in the summer and so I really needed to find a new body moisturizer. As a result, having dry skin was one of the issues I mentioned when filling in my Love Me Beauty questionnaire. This product came up when I was selecting my products and I instantly put in into my box because I've been looking for a really good moisturizer for months. It is by Malin & Goetz which are a very well known and trusted brand. For 1 credit, you get a sample size bottle of the moisturizer which should still last a while and allow you to get used to the product before deciding to go out and buy the full size which is the point of Love Me Beauty.

The final product I chose was another Malin and Goetz bottle. This one is their face cleanser because I find that I don't always get all of my makeup off in the evenings so need a cleaner as well as makeup wipes. The ingredients in this product look really lovely, I love the smell of grapefruit and so I thought this might be nice to try! I've also heard very very good things about Malin and Goetz so I was eager to give a couple of their products a go.

You can get any kind of product you want from Love Me Beauty from nail varnish to skin care products to shampoo and conditioners to make up!
I will probably get a box from Love Me Beauty every couple of months and continue my one month subscriptions at a time. Each time I do order a box I will do a Love Me Beauty haul like this one and I will later do a Love Me Beauty Review each time too so you can see what I thought of the products I got and I will include pictures of the makeup looks I create with any products I get. I will do that for this bunch in the next couple of weeks.

I would urge you to sign up to the website and have a browse. You can sign up for free without entering any payment details and have a look around - if you don't think it's for you then you don't have to order anything!

I would just like to add that I wasn't sponsored by them or anything like that to write this blog post. I just think it's a really good website for people like me who love beauty products and I also really enjoy trying new things and writing product reviews so it seemed like a good idea to include this as a feature on my blog!

 Happy Sunday! Love Chloe x.

Urban Decay Product Reviews | Eyes.

Hello readers!

Lately I've been trying to upgrade my makeup collection by just adding a few 'higher end' products. I've always obsessed over Urban Decay products but could just never justify the price! However, I've become much better at saving my money and so I've invested into a few products.

I've lusted endlessly over the Naked pallets for years but I could never justify paying nearly £50 for eye shadow! Moreover, I was thrilled when I discovered the Naked 'Basics' Pallet! It's basically the Naked pallet just with half the colours and half the price! This was the perfect pallet for me because it meant I could introduce myself to the product and see how I liked working with the Urban Decay eye shadows before committing to a more expensive pallet. The colours are absolutely beautiful, my favourite being 'Walk Of Shame' because of the glittery undertones. The colours blend together so beautifully and give the perfect neutral look which I love. I'm beginning to try to plan my makeup look for my prom in the summer and I think I will definitely be whipping this pallet out for that evening!
My only complaint about this pallet is that I feel it's missing a glittery gold shade. This may just be because that's my comfort colour when it comes to eye shadows. I love having a gold lid and then blending out with subtler colours below my brow bone and darker colours in my crease. This pallet is perfect for the blending out part but I'm finding myself reaching for my '24 hour colour tatoo' in a gorgeous golden brown for lids. However, I feel this is just the consequence of going for the cheaper version and I know in the full Naked Pallet there are plenty of shades that could do the job perfectly so I will definitely upgrade to the full size pallet as soon as I can afford it!

The next product I invested in was the 'Urban Decay: Lush Lash System.' I was recommended to try an Urban Decay lash growth serum to make my eye lashes look fuller and longer. I think I may have brought the wrong thing though because it was explained to be something you put on before your mascara. This product goes on in the evenings and consists of a serum at one end that you put on as if an eyeliner along your lash lines. The alternative end contains a conditioner that you put on like mascara. The product is good! It makes my lashes feel much better and consequently my mascara goes on much smoother. I have noticed my lashes look longer but not as long as I expected. It's not a remarkable change that people are noticing and commenting on and for nearly £40 I expected miracles! Don't get me wrong, it does what its supposed to just not to the extent that they claim. I will continue to use this but I don't think I'll be buying it again when it runs out unless I see dramatic results. (if I do, I will inform you!)

Coming soon on my blog: Bed Hair - Damaged Hair Shampoo Review.

Hope you found this post beneficial - go grab yourself a Naked Basics pallet! You wont regret it.
Goodnight, Chloe x.
